Frequently Asked Questions About BOTOX®
and Dysport® Treatments
Will BOTOX® and Dysport® Injections Make My Face Look Frozen?
This is a common misconception with treatments like BOTOX® or Dysport® - that you won’t be able to move your facial muscles at all and will look comically over-treated. However, this “BOTOX® forehead” problem is completely avoidable when you receive treatment from an experienced professional. Dr. Parkins and her staff treat their patients as friends and take care to ensure they love their results. If you decide you would like additional BOTOX® or Dysport® injections, these can always be provided. By taking it slow and following a conservative treatment plan, our team can help you look naturally and beautifully rejuvenated.
Do Injections of BOTOX® and Dysport® Cause Bruising?
The majority of the time there is no bruising after getting BOTOX® or Dysport® treatments. However, it is possible to develop small pinpoint bruises that are easily covered by makeup until they fade on their own. Any redness or minor swelling that occurs resolves within 10 to 15 minutes.
How Long Do Treatment and Recovery for BOTOX® and Dysport® Take?
The procedure itself can be short, depending on how many areas of the face will be treated and how many units of BOTOX® or Dysport® will be added. For many BOTOX® and Dysport® patients, this process takes only a few minutes and requires no recovery. You will be able to return to your daily routine after your procedure.
