FAQS About Broad Band Light Therapy
Are There Any Side Effects Associated with the Halo™ Laser?
The only side effects associated with the Halo™ laser treatment are swelling and redness. Sleeping on your side or flat on your stomach can cause further irritation right after treatment. Elevating your head as much as possible will relieve swelling. If you face any discomfort, ibuprofen, Benadryl, and ice can all relieve symptoms.
It’s important to note that though swelling is a side effect, it will not affect Halo™’s positive results. We’ll discuss all possible risks with you during your consultation and only recommend treatment if you are an ideal candidate.

How Many Halo™ Treatments Will I Need?
One of Halo™’s biggest draws is its versatility of treatment plans. You can choose as many Halo™ treatments as you want. Once we have an understanding of your goals and availability, we’ll help you select between one or two more intense treatments or several, spaced-out lower-level treatments to achieve similar results.
What Happens During a Halo™ Treatment?
One of our experienced team members will apply a topical anesthetic to the treatment area 30 minutes to an hour before your session to reduce any discomfort. You should expect to feel a slight tingling sensation and heat. After that, you’ll sit back while we use motion-tracking technology to apply your Halo™ treatment evenly.
How Long Will My Halo™ Laser Results Last?
Halo™ results last for several years. If you maintain your skincare regimen, you can see benefits for even longer. It’s most critical to avoid sun exposure and wear a 30+ SPF sunscreen daily.
If you want to improve your results further, we can schedule additional BBL™ (Broadband Light) therapy and Halo™ treatments.

How Many BBL Treatments Are Needed?
Each patient’s BBL treatment timeline is unique and depends on several factors, including the number of treatments, degree of skin damage, and desired outcomes. Generally, our patients tend to choose four treatments per year (one every three months).
